Q330HR, A New Standard for Broadband Seismology
Pasadena, CA 9/5/2006

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT: 4 times more RAM on the board! More memory for the Q330HR, a New Standard for Broadband Seismology & Next Generation of Ultra-High Resolution Data Acquisition System

From drawing board to delivery, we constantly strive to design better products — creating a growing legion of satisfied customers. During the product definition phase we welcome input so that we can recognize and understand our customers' needs down to the smallest details, because we believe that the very smallest details matter. The design of the Q330 family of products was no exception. Therefore we would like to thank to all of you who gave us suggestions, thus helping us deliver a great product, the Q330HR, to our seismic community.

Following the release of the Q330HR and input from our customer base, we decided to add an additional enhancement to the Q330HR: 4 times more RAM on the board! So as a standard feature, all new Q330HR will come with 32Mbyte of memory in the future.

Based on internal testing and the beta 2 feedback of product performance, we are revising our development schedule to deliver the Q330HR with 32 Mbyte of RAM by the end of September of 2006, with broad general availability in November of 2006.
Please note that all outstanding Q330HR orders will be upgraded free of charge.

We do greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with you and welcome the opportunity for you to review and assist with product design suggestions in the future. Thank you again for your great feedback.

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT: Q330HR, A New Standard for Broadband Seismology & Next Generation of Ultra-High!! Resolution Data Acquisition System at 148dB and Low-power Consumption!

PASADENA, CA – December 01, 2004 – Quanterra Inc, a Kinemetrics Inc. subsidiary announces a new product offering, Q330 High-Resolution or simply Q330HR acquisition system, at the upcoming American Geophysical Union (AGU) meeting (http://seismology.agu.org/ ), in San Francisco, December 13-17, 2004. The Q330HR represents a new standard for ultra-high resolution recording, at low power! The Q330HR’s typical dynamic range is 148dB, at power consumption <2W, including recording media that stores up to 20 Gbyte of ready-to-use data. The Q330HR also outperforms world’s best-performance digitizer, the Quanterra Q730B (Borehole), independently tested by Sandia National lab, and originally designed by Quanterra/Kinemetrics for needs of the US Nuclear Monitoring Verification Program.

Jointly designed by Quanterra and Kinemetrics and manufactured under a TÜV certified ISO 9001-2000 quality assurance program ( http://www.tuv-global.com/services/qmservices/exec_over.cfm) as a part of the "Q330 family," the new Q330HR includes a number of modular products comprising a comprehensive set of tools for building environmental monitoring data acquisition systems according to various operational models and missions. Interfaces are available for various common types of communication systems, including IP networking over Radio, GPRS, GEO, MEO and LEO telemetry.

The Q330HR is an advanced, IP-network-aware, 3/6 channel remote broadband digitizer that incorporates Quanterra's leading and proven broadband technology. The Q330HR includes Quanterra's own patented (US Patent 486 6442, Japan Patent 2787445, others pending) low-power delta-sigma analog front end, a DSP/RAM module containing up to 8Mb, built-in GPS receiver, a power conversion module, and a telemetry management module. Unlike many other recording systems in the marketplace, the Q330HR comes with Internet savvy communications and security, robustness for field applications, and is cost-effective, quality-consistent, with simple installation and maintenance requirements.

The Q330HR is an excellent choice for autonomous temporary and portable recording applications, as well as permanent real-time seismic infrasound, hydroacustic, structure, volcano monitoring networks.
